How are we gonna discuss this? Not..really..the type of thing to discuss...

It brings back an old hobby... I too used to animate like this.

Well, it's a short story.
Done with pivot. Screwed around for about 5 minutes.

I suck at Pivot, but I have made one pretty good 1st animation.

I'll throw together a short 30 second one... probably two guy's fighting.

I was pretty good at pivot back in the day, but pivot is so limited. No tweening, which makes slow motion a pain, and the exporting frame rate is dreadful. Plus, it saves in an 8-bit GIF animated picture format, instead of an AVI. I did a little blender animation, and the results were a bit better. I might throw the animation up some time.

An alternative to saving it in GIF format is recording it with an external choice.

8th, that really doesn't work too well. The quality isn't guaranteed, and there is no anti-aliasing. At least pivot can do that (up to 4x oversampling points)

Actually, the best way to do this is the most troublesome (and funny).
Give them the .piv file.
Tell them to download Pivot. =D
Yeah, when I used to do animations, they were really choppy and such.
And the funniest thing was (when I looked back), I always used the default stickman.
I just decided to see how I would be when I took a look again.
This happened to be the result. The climbing animation would pretty ok in a loop, I guess.

wow...no joke, 8th, I've done better in my sleep. Nothing recent, but I do have a few classics. Unfortunately, all my good 3D stuff is in an AVI format, so I can't just attach it.

in pivot 3 (newest) u can save as .piv or .avi . download???

and jasc animation shop can convert .gif to .avi to (im very into this)

i use jasc animation shop to convert an animated big scene/movie from .avi to .gif to use in game maker(direct input)

Yes, but if you open a file in Pivot 3, you can no longer load it in Pivot 2.5.
This is because the .piv file would be altered..
But personally, I think my guy climbing the ladder was simpler and better eased.

I haven't don't Pivot animations in a while. My 11 year old brother does them excessively... I don't do them as much because i have run out of spare imagination.

If your brother can do them smoothly, show me some. =D
